There were 34 homes that sold in Haverford Township in February 2017. The final selling prices of these single-family homes ranged from $75,000 to $779,000. This month we saw an increase in inventory of homes for sale over January, which you can see below on our Haverford Township monthly market data sheet.
Worth noting is that 24 out of the 34 homes that sold in February in Haverford Township were priced under $350,000 and three of the properties that sold were under $200,000. Haverford Township continues to be one of the most affordable townships along the Main Line area. Parts of Ardmore, Bryn Mawr and Haverford (all towns along the Main Line) fall within Haverford Township. 18 of the homes that sold were within the town of popular town of Havertown, which offers a good amount of affordable homes while being close to center city. The spring market has certainly started and the market seems to be buzzing with buyers. In some price ranges, there is low inventory. I showed the above home located at 413 Virginia Avenue in Havertown to clients this past week. This home had an addition and was nicely updated, and although it wasn’t exactly right for my clients, I can understand why it sold so quickly. Listed at $459,000 the house received multiple offers and was under contract within a few days.
Our team is working with different buyers who are looking to purchase in Havertown. We are seeing more and more homes hitting the market with the terms that the “best and final offers will be reviewed within a week”. This indicates that demand is strong for updated and priced well homes.
